Hmmm still feeling delicate. I'm wondering what I can do that doesn't involve too much work but I think it all does :rotfl: Why does drinking always seem like a good idea in the evening?

ETA: denise, your mention of rocky road gave me the inspiration for a present for DH's aunt & uncle - I'd been struggling to know what to get! Home made all the way I think!

  • Finally accepted that the plastic bag lying in the front garden wasn't an empty one which blew in yesterday as it hadn't moved.
So got a bag and went out to investigate.
Guess what? Someone had 'poop-scooped' then chucked the bag into my front garden

Ok i've done nothing except muck about on bebo.:o Someone please give me a kick or i'll sit here all day.

Craftyscholar OMG what is wrong with people would it really have been that hard for them to bring it home and put it in there own bin, dirty gits.

I call it 'clothes horse' and 'bacon sandwich' too and i'm Northern Ireland...
but i do have a 'hot press' instead of an 'airing cupboard'.:rotfl:

Edit to ask, i have a topside for the slow cooker but haven't it in yet. Can i keep it at high heat and have it at 3pm or is that too soon, any advice would be great.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

The boys and I had a lovely time eating buns whilst watching Bugsy Malone and tidying as fast as we could in the adverts last night so the play room looks much better. Trying to stick to a deep clean a day on top of the dailies.

Thanks for the suggestions re the turkey. The hanging thing does come off the door so that is sorted. Trouble is the turkey is too big for either of my roasting trays, but I could put a drip tray on the bottom shelf for any over flow. I may go with your suggestion Lil me - was it by any chance a Gordon Ramsay recipe with cranberries in, the bit about crackers reminded me and I am sure I have it somewhere. I have always done crowns before as well.

Nigella, love her books but find her irritating. Majority of my disasters have been her sweet recipes - always far too sweet for me. Having said that she did a thing the other night - dried fig, lump of philadelphia then wrapped in parma ham. I did an 'aldi' version and however unlikely it sounds they are totally addictive.

We are having this tonight - first time I have tried it but it looks lovely

HHC 11.15-11.45 anyone? I need to do the dailies before I start on a deep clean.
