    Morning all

Dusty - hope your cold goes away quickly - it's not nice when it wakes you up early.

Not quite with it yet. Was going to do an early Tesco but think I might forget that. Although I slept like a babe and laid in I still feel exhausted this morning. And I'm snotty. I've had a little bit of a dodgy ear the last week or so (itchy, clicky, occasionally aching). I'm wondering if it's all a hangover from the flu the other week or if it's a different bug. It would explain the snot and the tiredness.

Maybe I'll just take today off and curl up with a book or something. We'll see..

    Morning all

I've been up for a while as woke at 7.45 and didn't fancy feeling groggy all day from going back to sleep. DH is still asleep so I've been catching up with the thread whilst watching casualty.

I used to dip in and out of strictly but DH can't stand it so haven't watched it this year! I do think that Tom is gorgeous though :D

Plan for today is to get into town for 11am when shops open and then do the lounge and bedroom when I get back! WM is on with a load of towels and cloths which brings the washing up to date (until I strip the bed....)

    soappie -
i've had that funny ear thing too! Took a decongestant one day which seemed to sort it out!

Thanks Rach - I'll buy some decongestants at some point and see what happens...

The second cup of tea is working, I am slowly waking up - might get to Mr T's after all. Let's see what else I can strike off my list:

    [strike]Wash net curtains from bedroom[/strike]
Wash net curtains from front room
[strike]Wash living room throws (two in washing machine atm) All done, dried and back in place - also did the one from the little settee in the kitche[/strike]n
[strike]Wash cushion covers in the machine washing as I type[/strike]
    [strike]Buy Christmas tree[/strike]
    [strike]Decorate Christmas tree[/strike]
Bathroom ceiling - one final de mildew
Bathroom ceiling - paint after de mildew
Finish christmas present shopping nearly there...
    Wrap christmas presents
    Demolish iron mountain
[strike]Clean under furniture in living room[/strike]
    Finalise christmas day menu
    [strike]Cake/biscuits for bro's visit on Saturday[/strike]
[strike]Find Christmas tablecloth and napkins and check they don't need washing[/strike]
[strike]Present for J and deliver before Sunday when she goes on holiday[/strike]
    Bulbs for pot in porch
    Sweep garden
[strike]Clean kitchen windows (again!) we've had more mucky rain[/strike]
Wash car - it's supposed to be silver, not grey!

Hmmm - as they used to say on my school reports "could do better"

  • Morning all, I have been tackling the cleaning in small manageable steps and I am pleased with the results. My eyes are still a bit pink so I will be facing the supermarket today without my contact lenses. My plan today is to tackle the clutter one surface at a time until downstairs is sorted.

In my HHC I cleared the clutter from the 2 seater in the LR. Who would think that would take HH. But I proper sorted it not just shifted them to some where else to deal with ‘later’. I threw out the junk mail that I had shifted from the entrance when I did the tidy there and left it to be sorted ‘later’. Put away DD’s clothes that I had folded and left to be taken upstairs ‘later’. Moved a pile of mock exam papers to a basked created to hold marking for ‘later’. Put away DS shirts and cards from his nursery friends. Now there is a place to sit clutter free.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

 I'm feeling a bit delicate to say the least after last night. House is a tip though so really need to get it sorted! Just having a coffee before I get on. Have a slight problem in that I can't find a pair of clean socks to wear so my feet are cold.
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Casualty has finished - shocking ending! Now got to decide what to do...don't want to disturb DH as he still has 2 days of work, might just sort the stuff piled on the small sofa. Also need to autoupdate laptop for the odd time i have to use IE. And order some pics for my gran and step grandma's presents.

looks like it (tomorrow), idiot that I am forgot to order it and it seems to be the only place that has lego in stock (except amazon which is really expensive). I may try toy shops in town today just in case....I am not looking forward to that plus it's really out of my way as although i was going into london anyway it's to liverpool street!!
