Builder is here... appears to be working... am just off to get dressed and go and get my toes polished. Might do a bit of shopping on the way back, then back to dealing with work paperwork and decluttering my desk!
Pigpen - kitten casserole probably won't feed many... I'd wait until they're a bit bigger, and you might get a couple of decent pairs of gloves out of them too

Argh nothing I do is right! She wants a hair clip in her hair so I start doing that then she screams at me to stop, then she wants me to do it again! Do you think it'll be mean of me to put her to bed early so I can actually get on? She also currently emptying one of my drawers filled with bead bits :rolleyes:Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I dunno, we're OS, if you bulk it out with some lentils and loads of veggies i reckon it will feed at least 4:pThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Pinkfairy men are really hopeless at talking about what their problem is -they keep it all inside until they explode over something that would usually be nothing. maybe he's worried about his job? not achieving his career ambitions? maybe just generally frustrated with everything - mine seems to talk best when we're out for walks so maybe you could figure out how to get him in a good mood and ask him whats up
OH came back this morning after work but went straight up to bed - think his mum may have sent him home. He's finding it very hard to deal with things - I'm the main earner but now I'm facing being off work/huge cut in salary longer term and I want to go back to university next Sept. I think he's worried he can't "provide" for me because he's so bad with money. But I have everything planned out so it shouldn't be a major prob I just need to keep around £300 a month coming in or he needs to contribute more to the household. I do sometimes feel like he doesn't contribute the way he should- not just financially but around the house and planning things like holidays/days out/free time activities. He hasn't bought either of his parents Xmas presents and every time I ask him what they want he say he hasn't asked/doesn't know so I'm leaving him to it! Grrr rant over sorry.
Not feeling good today -chest infection - so I'm taking a day off to veg and read my library books"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0 -
I used to have a thimble collection but flung it in one of my mad 'I'm flingin' everything' moods....
When my Granny died, she put in her will that her thimble collection was to be divided up amongst her granddaughters so that sort of started me off. I've not got a lot, but those I have mean something to me.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Lil_me - I live near the big Legoland shop and will be popping in probably on Sunday - I'll have a look in there for the Police Station and let you know.
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Oh - and talking of kitten kasserole - there may just be springer spaniel stew a-cooking in this house shortly. I've just discovered she's got hold of one of the cushions (sans cover) and ripped it open, removing half the stuffing. I've rescued it all but will have to get the needle and thread out to sew it back up.
See how karma works? I clean the thimbles, I get to have to use one of them! :rotfl:
But, before I do that, as I've finished my cup of tea, I'm going to do some windows...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
