Mr Tesco has already made the pies which are in the fridge.
Mr Tesco has already peeled the carrots which are in the freezer.
He expects me to open the tin of peas myself but I think I can manage that.
Mr Kipling has already made the cakes for me (but Mr T reduced them from £1.50 to 15p!!)A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Have already had our Xmas, but did the following the previous day:
Cooked meat and made gravy
Made cauliflower cheese
Made trifle and cheesecake
Made veggie alternative to meat (plus extra for the freezer)
On the day I peeled and roasted spuds and parsnips, steamed carrots, sprouts, broccoli and peas, cooked the cauliflower cheese and heated the rest.
It was delish - AND I didn't have to do battle in the shops because no one else was doing Xmas then :T
And the leftovers were finished by Wednesday, just before we left for our holsScience adjusts its views based on what's observed.

i normally prep the carrots and sprouts
i have already made the mash potato so it will just need heating up with a knob of buter
i am making stock out of the giblets ready to make gravy tomorrow
ive already made a brandy sauce for the christmas pud
i will lay the table today
so tomorrow i will just need to cook the turkey and the roasties , parsnips and finish off the gravy0 -
Correct for the potatoes , wrong for the sprouts . Just prepare and stick in a plastic bag.
Okay, but just out of interest, why not. If your thinking of them going soggy, our veg hardly has a chance as most of the time, I'm guilty of not cooking them for long enough, rather than too long.
I thought it was making a cross in the bottom which made them soggy0 -
pretty much all of ours is prepped already....chicken wings and rack of ribs were marinaded and frozen last week so i've just got those out of the freezer this morning, filled potato skins i will get out of the freezer later and i've got to make some madeleines for hubbies trifle.
Tomorrow will be a lovely easy day for me while hubby is outside with the bbq0 -
NOTHING!
I cook a meal from scratch 365 days a year, so for xmas day i am have pre-prepared pigs in bankets (Morrisons), stuffed turkey (Lidl), roast potatoes (Lidl), Yorkshires (Lidl), gravy (ahhh, bisto), and stuffing (Paxo).
The only thing i have to do tomorrow isput it all in the oven and boil the veg for 4-5 mins (frozen) and then serve!
Merry Christmas!0 -
My turkey and beef will be cooked today, gammon was in the sc yesterday, they'll all be sliced with my food slicer thingy into nice neat slices, meat will be portioned up and will be putting some in the freezer for new years eve/day. All the veg will be peeled and prepped today but I won't cook any of it aside from the cauli-cheese, which will then get baked tomorrow. Stuffing balls and pigs in blankets will get prepped today to so they can just be popped in the oven tomorrow.
Dinner service, serving bowls and glasses will all be washed and polished and table will be laid before we go to bed.
Makes for a much easier day tomorrow if all I've got to do is shove things in the oven at the right time.
do you warm the turkey and beef up tomorrow and if so how ???0 -

If I feel like it I may peel pots and store! Husband usually does this and I'm about to clock on for work 1-5!

I slice it the day it's cooked, lay it in tin foil, spoon some of the cooking juices over it, parcel it up and then just stick it in a space in the oven for 15 mins.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

what's to prep- its all out of a packet. Bang in the oven and job done. Minimum fuss- I spent years seeing my Mum spend all day moaning about it then at meal time every year all we got was "I can't eat this now I've cooked it"- why put yourself through it. Christmas day was hell growing up, I do it all my self now and it is dead easy.0
