Hi all - Thank you for the replies!

It sounds like Beta Puppy is ideal for Bailey. I'm not going to fed him anything (including treats) for another week - really don't want to upset his tummy.

suki1964, I would of never fed any of that to the pup - its worth a pop!

We bought loads of toys for him and he loves his new teddy! Thing is he prefers the newspaper! There's a MSE tip for you! Get your dog newspaper rather than all the expensive toys !

Aaaaaanother reason why experienced puppy owners never advocate paper training, nowt like coming down in the morning to shredded wet paper all over the kitchen :rotfl:

Raw veggies are good low fat treats and really help with teething. Dont give onions nor grapes but try everything else. My lad sits beside me in the kitchen when Im doing sunday lunch getting the trimmings from the carrots, parsnips, broccoli and cauliflower. I also use the stems that we dont eat cooked as a bulker for his meals.

Pups also love to play and chew up toilet roll inners and empty plastic pop bottles. Soft toys from second hand shops are idea - just not the ones with hard eyes.

He looks as bright as a button - fun days ahead:D
