Hi folks,
Does anyone know if DD's due on the 1st Jan will go out that day, or roll over to the 2nd, what with it being a public holiday, not a bank holiday.
It makes quite a difference to my budget
TIA

May come out before.
DDs usually go by the lines of "On or around of X". I know my O2 is always after.0 -
I would say be prepared for them to come out on the previous working day. If they don't then it's just a nice surprise, right?Kavanne

DDs go out on the bank working day after a bank holiday.0

I don't ever recall a DD going out before the specified date.Stompa0

January 1st is a bank holiday.

Of course, you'd need to have money to cover those debits in place by the close of business the working day before anyway, which would be Wednesday 31st December in either case...0 -

People often get confused by how DDs work. Some banks will show the transaction as pending with a future date, e.g. if you have a DD due to go out on Monday it might show up on Saturday or Sunday and reduce your available balance accordingly even though it's not actually fully posted to your account yet.0 -
Use Bacs at my work and DD's due to collect 1st will be debited on the 2nd unless the company ask for another day.0

So it makes no differnce that it's not a BANK holiday, but a public holiday?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
