Sunday 14/12/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today I will:
  • check online banking
  • update spreadsheets
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • add some coins to sealed pot
  • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • storecupboard lunch and tea
  • laundry hokey cokey
  • finish cleaning flat with stardrops and microfibre cloths
  • Try and have a no spend day
  • Try and not use car - nope going to asda but only using grocery card so not spending cash:)
  • batch cook curry for OH pack ups
  • make a trifle for later using frozen reduced cream
Good morning fellow dfw's, early start this morning for me:D Lots to do.
Hve a good day everyone- enjoy the rest of your weekend.

See you later:D
Reduce,re-use, recycle.

Did no one tell you lot its the weekend:eek:, your a right lot of early birds:D

Today is my relaxing day, so not doing much today, which is dfw, or focusing on my goals.

    Today i have/will do:
-Both me and the OH had a lovely long lie in, so no gas and elec on
-Am off out for a free lunch courteousy of a pub mystery shop and will be catching up with a friend
-The pub is twenty miles away but i have combined it with three other trips, so when i split the petrol and time factor between the three things, its a lot less than it would be for one trip!
-Doing a massage swap with someone i trained with, so we will both have free treatments from one another, which will be good for the body.
-My friend then only lives one mile away from her, so i will go back round to my friend's house and give her a treatment and she will be paying me, so i get my petrol costs and some more back in the end!

-Will come home and write up report
-Sort out stuff for college tomorrow
-Unload car which is full of massage gear, don't want to drive around with that today or it will use up far too much petrol
    -Sort through emails
    -Do some surveys

-Check freecycle, hoping to hear back from someone who is giving away a bike, as would like to start sometimes cycling to work!
    -Wrap partner's presents
-Write out Christmas cards to former clients
-Fill in gift vouchers for them, giving each client a 25% off voucher, to get them to come back to me, but will have to be redeemed by March.
-Read up one of the great threads on here, so many great ways to be money saving, if anyone is interested, here is the link, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1295539&highlight=gas+electricity
-I have emailed the massage course back with my completed booking course, so should be able to get on it before they finish accepting the cheap bookings, on mon at midngiht
-Will do daily scratch card - I WON 50P!!!
-Try and buy Kitchen foil for radiators!!

Have a great Sunday eveyrone, not long till Christmas now
