Sky Broadband/Sky Connect

In November 2007 I rang Sky up to sign up for their £19 a month package which was Sky TV, Sky Talk and Broadband.
Having agreed to the package the Sky rep said due to my telephone exchange needing upgrading I'd have to have Sky Connect at an extra £17 a month, but only for 2-3 months until the exchange was upgraded. I foolishly agreed.
A week and half later I lost my job, and found the extra amount a burden. In March 2008 I rang Sky Tech Support to see what was happening where a chap told me Sky had no knowledge of when exchanges get upgraded and that basically I was missold the contract.
I've tried getting Sky to refund me the difference between the 2 packages and even had a chap agree on the phone to do so, but today I rang to see what was happening and was told the payment was denied by their Finance department.
So please beware what the Customer reps tell you.
Anyone else been misold Sky packages?

What does LLU stand for?
And what is Samknows?0 -
LLU stands for Local Loop Unbundling and refers to BT allowing other broadband providers to offer services using cables from the telephone exchange.
SamKnows is here to take the guesswork out of broadband and give a detailed picture of the UK's Broadband Availability & Performance, Provider by Provider
