Does anyone grow their own veg??
I have some room for a small plot to grow the majority of the type veg we eat and I am going to do so this year.
But does anyone think it saves money or is it just a good pastime and nice to eat home grown?DEBT Total Dec 12 = £30029DFD APRIL 20140 -

The guy on the phone had a good point about the current ecconomic climate and it being hard to get credit and to keep the card open just incase!! But I think the £10000 limit i have on my natwest card should cover most emergencies!!

Really focused on trying to get rid of my barclay card, then I can set about my overdraft!!
Need to try to persude wifey to let me clear it with the money we get for her car should be around £4000 - £4500 But this gives us problem what to pey off
I want to pay off:
My Barclay card : £1690ish ( after I make payments next week) 17.8% Apr
Tax Credits £700
Sofa finance £350 0% Apr
Or the whole lot off Our £4000 loan well £3700 7.9% apr
Wife thinks
Clear over draft, Then tax credits
The question is whats better to pay off Credit cards etc or OverdraftDEBT Total Dec 12 = £30029DFD APRIL 20140 -
well not too bad a week
Car is now on Ebay already had people asking to buy it now but I think we will hold on for the full auction. wife has agreed to pay of the credit cards first then see what is left over and use that to pay off tax credits.
We did our new budget and when she goes back to work next month we will have £1339 a month after bills / food etc to live on.
So the plan is to save £3500 as quickly as possible to pay off the Smaller nat west loan. So when she goes back on Mat leave we only have our two large loans to pay off.
We should also be able to eat into the overdraft aswell. I've now recieved my replacement Barclaycard so I have my £340 to pay off that but i will prob just throw that at the overdraft because we are now clearing that hopefully by the end of the week.DEBT Total Dec 12 = £30029DFD APRIL 20140 -
Really confident about getting rid of this debt.
My wife is really on side now after I showed her how much money we had to spend on debt repayment. Out of the £1339 we are looking to save £900 towards debt and leave £439 for spending.
We are saving in our ISA's because savings rates are rubbish so we might aswell avoid the taxDEBT Total Dec 12 = £30029DFD APRIL 20140 -
