henry or dyson

  • i love my henry. all the hoovers i used before were awful. the good thing about henry is you don't even need bags, so it's really cheap in the long run. and if you're into diy, it's incredible for hoovering up brick dust instead of sweeping. dead simple too for hoovering the extreme edges of your carpet where all the crap gathers - just detatch the main head and you're off.

i havent had a dyson, but looking at the design, i can't see how it could possibly do a better/more all round job.

    just my 2 cents ;)

I bought a Henry last month (this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Numatic-HVR200-Henry-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B00008Z9XZ) and it's the best hoover I've ever had. Never had a Dyson but read plenty of bad reviews about them when looking at getting a new hoover although people here are saying otherwise. Henry may be quite heavy to some so that's probably the only thing against it I guess but it's a really good buy IMO.

Maybe all the people who rate Henry over Dyson prefer the drag along ones rather than uprights, I only like uprights.

Did the OP state her preference?

EDITED TO SAY, I see she wants a drag along.
  • I had 2 Dysons and they both died after 2.5 years. They were great for dust and hair but would not pick up anything bigger than that, for example cornflakes that my toddler left on the floor etc. they were just moved around. I since bought a Sebo Premium K and love it because it picks up everything. Only negtive point for me is that it is a push around, I prefer uprights.
