Same here Soicher. Temporary fault I reckon.
  • Same here. Hope it is soon fixed cos you don't realise what a saving it is until it doesn't work and you have to phone abroad with BT.
  • Hooray!!! Seems to be fixed now.

Do I have to register for the numbers you've listed, or are the calls charged to my BT account?

    Thanks

No need to register - calls are charged to your BT account.

Heinz, thank you for your post of the 3rd with the links you presented. I'm sure they have been put in before many times, but this time they "registered" with my tired old brain. I think what helped, was reading that 18866 was on the blink yesterday and like a few others, I sort of thought, ah well, too good to last.

I have already followed through your links and saved each of them to favourites. Equally was exploring them, I did the Q&A's and was pleased to see there is "NO" registering to bother about.

To anyone who hasn't got that far yet, if you do decide to use either Telediscount/Telesavers/Cheapestcalls, you simply enter the name of the country you wish to phone, a dial code will be presented, then use it to make the call.

PAYMENT. that will appear on your BT bill along with your line rental and you pay BT even though you've used another provider. (You may have a connection charge, even so, your call will cost less than via BT).

  • Heinz, all the numbers you suggested for 1p/minute are wrong - anyone using them will get charged a connection charge but will be unable to make any calls!

Telediscount actually charge 2p/minute for UK calls, and the correct access number is 08444 620 620.
