Hello Everyone - not been on here for a long time

    Taplady - hugs to you

Well I'm ill. Been off work on leave all week so it would strike now wouldn't it?!

Got the Christmas tree this week and got all the decorations up. All my presents are near enough done:T

Made shortbread this week with a very wrong recipe - that one won't be used again. Been counting up all vouchers ready for the final Mr T shop before Christmas. Also listing all ingredients we need to get to make sweets. Trying to find my Nigella book for her recipe for a version of peanut butter cups - think they're Snicker Doodles.

Joined the 20p savers club as you can see in my signature and paid more £2 coins into the ISA.

And I've finally had planning permission granted to do the windows:j :T

Anyway, hope everyone's ok and enjoying getting ready for Christmas/Yule or whatever festival you celebrate

Taplady I was so sad to read your news, hope you are ok,you were a great friend to Lesley and her family and I'm sure they all drew immense strength from your friendship XX

Not much more to report here, tomorrow apparently I am making playdough,in EVERY colour according to DS3 :D They incorporated a shopping trip for supplies into a lesson this week then made some at school so he's all keen to show me how clever he is bless him :A He's doing sooo well now he's in the Base I couldn't wish for more.

  • ... and were they nice?

Finally got my OH to try savoury rice (the stuff in packets).. Told him to put in a big handful of plain rice before he cooked it to make it taste less of chemicals and now he is a convert!

Watched Strictly and am worried about Tom - he didn't dance his best. I don't like Lisa but she danced well and if Rachel isn't in the final, I will eat my new fingerless gloves!

kaat - hope you like your new breadmaker when you get it. We got ours from Freecycle and its an Hinari. Bit of a big monster but it makes great bread and the spike up the middle isn't too long so you don't have those annoying 'non' slices..

evening all - a difficult day at work today( me and Les worked together) everyone is so sad but we all talked about the laughs we'd had with her.
I went down to see her this evening - its a strange situation but another close friend is the undertaker. She looked so peaceful and beautiful and that is how I want to remember her, not as she was in the last few days.she looks like she's ready for a night out with her favourite outfit on, nails done, hair done and bling on.

Back to work again early tomorrow so am off to bed now.

    Take care allxxx
