    Are you sure about this?

It's more usual that, at the end of December (earlier, in view of Christmas) you get paid for the work you do in December. At the end of Jan, you'll be paid for Jan and at the end of Feb, you'll be paid for Feb.

Using your description i.e. getting paid at the end of Feb for Dec/Jan is effectively two months in arrears.

Is this a major bank? Have you checked out what will be paid and when with HR/Payroll?
I will get paid this weeks wage in Jan, then anything after 19th Dec I get paid in Feb, it's right, when I first started working for the company on 1st June I didnt get paid until 28th July, even posted about it on here.
I'm going to speak to my boss this week and say that I need to be back on a contract or t's going to put me in rent arrears and hope for the best.
    No it's a care home.

Sorry, I didn't see your earlier thread.

This is the most bizarre situation I've ever come across. Been working for 30 years, always paid monthly and never seen this before! Sorry - that's of no help to you :o

Will have to find your other thread, but I doubt I'll come up with anything that hasn't already been suggested :o

Wonder if they'll pay you an advance e.g. pay the rest of December at the beginning of January?
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)

Not really possible as I start work at 10pm tonight.
Contact them anyway and ask if if they would consider IWEDF to help you out until you get paid. Have you contacted tax credits?

    I'll ask.
Yes have informed Tax credits today.
I'm just going to beg my boss to put me back on contract, she's quite easy going so she should be ok with it.

Thanks, Think I'll be ok to get my contract back, I had a word with the admin lady this morning and she said she'll sort it out.
I'm entitled to maternity allowance from the governmet as I'm not entitled to SMP from work and can take 39 weeks at the standard rate any time from 29 weeks pregnant.
