Lloyds TSB Internal Scoring

Strange, they told me the complete opposite. That was only a few months ago. The guy I spoke to seemed to know what he was talking about as from this site I asked what my score was, he said he could not tell me but told me how it was worked out and when it changed.
Good luck with changing banks. I personally use the Co-op and apart from you never knowing what you avaiable balance is on line (it always shows the same as your actual balance), you have to call them or go to an ATM to find out their service has been excellent.0 -
I think Lloyds don't really know one reason from another.
I think the Barclays way is a good way (with available limits etc - Co-op and smile do this as well and if you're a L1,L2 or M1 with an available limit you don't even get credit scored).
I used to work for smile (internet bank of Co-op) and they were/are good. Especially with the risk scoring and none credit checks if you fit into certain categories.0 -
here is a thread that sheds some light on it, it appears there is a separate field for your "credit bureau data":

Well Lloyds still wont convert my account as my score isn't good enough. So after applying to HSBC and Halifax (and getting a straight decline) and having a meeting with Barclays which was completely pointless as the lady I had the appointment with said from the get go they wouldn't open an account - without even asking for any info! Go Figure! I finally opened a student account with smile.
They were great. Applied two weeks ago and account is up and running and ready to use, no fuss at all.
Started my course on Monday, and don't get my first bursary payment till end of month - so is nice to have a buffer.
My advice, forget about Lloyds completely, don't even bother with Barclays, but try smile/co-operative bank.0
