Is there a point?
The same cliquey users thank the same posters ad finitum.
Try posting a list of users who've thanked the same person more than, say, 50 times and you'll see how fuc*ed up the whole "thanks" thing is.
Oh, sorry, I suggested that a year ago and diddly squat happened.
I saw someone post today that they were feeling under the weather and they got thanked half a dozen times?

Hi chuckles
This is to help let us know about threads that are worth us considering for inclusion in the weekly email and in main site content and isn't related to people thanking each other on the forum.
And as someone's noticed, I'm not able to reply to everyone that's volunteering but those that are getting the button will know as I'm generally adding them within 24 hours.
Thanks to everyone that's offered
Andrea

Just wondering how you can differentiate between those who will be objective and fair and those who apply because they want/think thier opinion is the be-all and say-all and have personal agendas.
Is the idea that an appointed button is pressed that gives the required information or that those chosen write that they have either rated or not rated at the bottom of a post - presumably they are not undertaking the role of a BG, 'policing' the board or inflicting their personal opinion on others - just wondered after reading a post from someone on the panel who wrote 'I have rated this' on the bottom of a post - we can not go down the path of people on the panel using the positon for personal recognition or gain - it is meant to be a tool to enhance the board/forum.0
