    HDUK quote;

    My brother has just been to collect this at the Balham store.

    I instructed him to take the print-out and prepare to argue. When the cashier said it wasn't valid he kicked up a storm and asked to see the manager. The manager apologised after a lengthy rant by my brother and gave him the discount.

    I think it will work if you are very determined and and the manager isn't an @ss.

    I now have a Christmas gift for my Nephew! Now my brother and sister in law have to deal with the clutter and noise! hahaha.

    What a deal!

    Another quote;

    went in with the printed email,they said they could not honor it ,but after seeing the manager somehow they put it through and it came up at £14.68,for deluxe racing set and 2 roary friction cars.
    well pleased great gift for grandson.
    happy christmas.
    just lucky i suppose,hope some of you have same luck.

    more quotes;

    Just collected mine from the Chelmsley Wood store (Brmingham)

    Was unable to use the quick pay machine as it was not showing the discount. Went to the till and was servered by the manager due to the store being really busy. No questions was asked after I showed her my printed confirmation. Think it was luck or it could have been that she looked like she was already having a really bad day so don't think that she could be bothered to argue.

    I'm ganna be the uncle that spends loads this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks again

    If only this worked for Cordless telephones looking for a cheap bargain

    Going off subject - I got 4 X BT Synergie 4100 phones in Woolies @ £1.60 each :eek:
    They were £2.00 but with 20% off during friends and family promotion it made them £1.60 - Was so pleased as mine was on its last legs and sister needs one so she can have for xmas and my dad has just moved into a temporary company flat so he can have one and will keep the last as a spare, just in case :-).:D
