Beware of PLUMWORLD - no customer service

I had good service from plumbworld. I bought a sink and toilet package off them through ebay (a lot cheaper than buying off their website). Before installing the toilet i noticed a crack inside the toilet. I emailed them, sent them pictures of the damage and they sent me a new toilet (inc seat) within a few days.

I was very impressed with them.

I've just seen this thread, having started one myself a while ago.

I have been unable to get any emails through to Plumbworld. I have tried all the emails listed on their site - the main one being "customerservices@plumbworld.co.uk".

Every single one just bounces back as undeliverable.

Someone on the other thread gave me a telephone number - 01386 768498 - but this just has a recorded announcement saying they are an internet company and don't use the phone but will respond to emails at the above address - but what if you can't get an email through to them!!

I bought taps which are leaking badly and are covered by a very long guarantee - what can I do as I can't even get through to them? I've had a plumber out to look and he says he cannot fix them it is a design flaw and I should return them. Can I do a chargeback on my credit card if Plumbworld continue to be non-responsive?

Having had this experience I personally wouldn't ever use them again and would warn others of the difficulties I have experienced.

I have to agree Plumbworld's Customer Service is very bad. Not having a phone and very poor communications on email is very difficult.

I have learnt a lesson...never buy from Plumbworld.

Maybe I just got someone on a good/quiet day, but I found plumbworld to be quite helpful. I ordered quite a bit of stuff from them for my bathroom. There was a problem with one of the taps, and I had similar to the posts above when I realised there was no phone number, but got a very quick response to my email and they sorted it.

On the other hand, I bought a steel bath from qssupplies and they were a NIGHTMARE. The bath was out of stock, and took about 8 weeks to arrive. They promised to drill tapholes, and then said it would take another 8 weeks if we wanted tapholes. They were also really rude, and when some of the order was missing, said it would have to be investigated with the courier, as they were sure they had sent it. I would never order anything from this company again.

A toilet I bought had a casting fault and a sink pedestal had a very large chip which had been badly repaired in an attempt to hide it. No joy with replacements or refund. Low price but goods appear to be seconds.
