My Mum told me that being a Mum means feeling guilty all the time - I begin to understand what she meant! I thought she was just being melodramatic...
Well, I dont feel guilty. We should only feel like that if we dont do our best for our families, whatever that needs to be

It's the circle of hell that's reserved for parents on a rainy daysoft play? what's that?
I'd swap you in a heartbeat!
actually the one we go to mostly is alright, here as it's under 4's only but the ones with 7/8 year olds can be hellish as they don't tend to have much regard for toddlers. And yes I know they should be in school!
IA I can't believe it's in 2 days, that seems to have come round fast  how are the nerves?
Right I am going before the bathroom floods but in the words of Arnie, I'll be back...0 -

Brace yourself, it's exciting stuff! Supermarket, soft play, laundry. Calm down ladies, don't get jealous!
I forget which comedian said "Being a nursery school teacher is the easiest job in the world!"
"Morning children, I'm Mrs Jones, there's the sand pit, see you at the Christmas party!"

soft play .... oh yes i remember the joys...
in the coffee bar with a cold cappucino cause you have to get up every farting five minutes to rescue the child, or push them along, or wipe their nose, change their bum.... you thought you'd get a coffee and 15 minutes peace but alas not!
i'm going out tonight! i'm so excited!! i really don't get out much!! just hope it's not slippery out as want to wear my high boots... have a nice black and silver tunic dress that i got last year, will bling it up with silver jewellery and thick black tights, boots and a cosy scarf n gloves....
trouble is am leaving straight from work at half five to get 1750 train into aberdeen, i am going to have to do make up at desk, and get into clothes on toilet break at about 1700... the joys. Hope boss leaves early today!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I 'went to school' with my 5 year old yesterday.
It was supposed to be a class trip down to the local church but it was really icy and they decided it was far too dangerous to walk (very steep hill)
So... the teacher said did those of us who had volunteered to walk down and help want to come in for an hour instead! Jess was SO excited and grabbed my hand to run inside and show me her seat, her tray etc.....
I sat cross legged on the carpet with her whilst the register was taken and the teacher asked about snow and what you could make with it.
All the little hands went up and various obvious suggestions were made, snowballs, snow men etc
and some not so obvious suggestions like snow peacocks!
I put my hand up which the kids thought was hilarious -a grown up sat on the carpet with them with my hand in the air!
My suggestion was an igloo.
We all then made snow pictures using chalk on black card...or in the kids case - chalk on faces, hands, dresses, trousers, cardigans etc.
It was great fun
