Hi DD just read the post from the smug bloke, who thinks he's God's gift to parenthood (note that he's a second-time around Dad). He obviously failed and now the guilt has got him into the state he is in now.
You are a fab Mum. You have considered the needs of your son and yourself (in that order), and made the best desicion possible. You are to be congratulated for that.
I'm a single mum of four who now has to stay at home. I've become used to the comments that come along with my choice, but it doesn't stop me being mad when !!!!!! like him come along and smugly criticise other people's choices.
Sorry - rant over. He touched a nerve!:D

When my DS when born,I stayed off work till he was 6 months old then went back to work. I was working shifts at Gatwick-5am starts, midnight finishes, all sorts of mad hours. He went to a 24hr nursery near the airport and loved it. It didn't do him any harm, and he went there till he was 3. When DD was born I gave up work altogether. There is no difference at all between my two, they're well adjusted, well behaved kids. The most badly behaved kids I know are "owned" by a journo who lives locally, and has had several books about childcare published-yet her kids are horrors!!!!No one wants them for playdates as they are nightmares...Do whats right for YOU..Debt-free...and staying that way...0

You like the new look???? Sally (and Mr Sally) made it for me! Clever peeps!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I'm sure he'll get the hang of it, I remember the days of having Calpol spat back in my face, but now he is a good boy and happily sucks it out of the syringe!
Well today I am going to make my poor neglected child some crayons - I bought some normal ones but they break too easily and he just likes to eat them  so I am going to do THIS with the aim of creating an artistic genius out of him. It may turn out that I just make the kitchen smell and ruin a baking tray!0 -
When he's been asleep for a couple of hours, and you're getting into bed. ....
maybe give him some puffs via his spacer when he is asleep... might need more than the 15 secs but he should still be breathing in and out so might work...
only a notion?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
