  • Hey I don't claim to be perfect! Luckily the nursery do breakfast between 8 and 9 but there have been mornings where breakfast has been milk and a banana because we're that late! I am just grateful I have flexi-hours at work really!

Linda I used to feel the same about scarves, would feel suffocated and claustrophobic, I don't know what changed but a few years on I've built up quite a collection!

I carried Elliot in a sling for the first few months but either he got too big or I am too weak! :p

It's lovely having OH around on a working day, I am on my third cup of tea and about to have a caramel slice :D

my DS and his pal used to have competitions to see who could eat the most at nursery - he's a wee skinny thing so they probably thought I starved him at home. he used have brekkie at home and then go there and eat again with the other kids who hadn't had any, school was a big disappointment to him...

Well I'm a really bad mother.... My daughter had a slice of cake for breakfast today!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Speaking of disappointments - no pretty clothes for me this lunchtime:cool: , no inspiration what to get Ma & Pa for Xmas so to make up for it I bought a packet of cocktail sausages and a bag of hula hoops for lunch and (in the interest of balancing my diet) an apple:p

  • Luc are you actually lucky enough to have shops selling maternity wear? I live in a major town and still had to get everything online

    Cocktail sausages sound yum :)

Not a great selection - Debenhams (Red Herring), New Look, H&M and Mothercare and a very tiny choice in Next. I'm fine for casual clothes but coat/work/party wear is a bit of an issue. And the first thing to lose floor space when there are sales/promotions on seems to be mat wear...

Anyone know the best place to get fake Uggs from? Mum fancies a pair to use as slippers. So far the best price I've seen is £15 in New Look..
