pound sign paranoia

albertross, I had checked mine previously - was set to wetsern european ISO with autoselect selected.

nothing seemed to fix it, but I have just managed to repair re-install windows, and it's bloody fixed it !!

I can see pound signs !! ££££££

I'd forgotten all about this when a notification came into my inbox. Any idea what it was or are you just glad it's gone :T

sorry, no idea at all.
just very glad it has gone.

one tip I found was to reinstall windows but avoid using the recovery console option; it always failed when I used that before.
