I wouldnt touch any of the "branded" discs mentioned with a barge pole, failure rate is too high for me.
The only brand to go for is Taiyo Uiden, I have used DVDtech for years, and always get great prices.
The media codes on all of the Verbatim disks I've had the inclination to check indicate they were made by Taiyo Yuden.0 -

Yellows are fine for single layer
The dual layers have failed on BOTH my computers, my dads and my grandfathers!
I personally use datawarite TITANIUMS (which are thre ONLY dual layer discs that seem to work fine that ive tried):idea:0
