Personally I would always go for branded DVD's from a well known company (TDK/HP/Philips) and buying in bulk will be more cost effective. Look for a spindle of 25 DVD disks for about £20, maybe a bit less. Price might change for disk speed and if they're rewritable.0

Buy TDK, well known brands, locally, they are to heavy to post.0

That's nearly a pound a disc! Really expensive! Even including delivery costs you shouldn't need to pay more than about £7 or £8 for a spindle of 25, and £10 for a spindle of 50.
I'd give another vote to SVP.0 -
Avoid eBay at all costs.
Amazon offer free delivery on blank media over the cost of £5, so weight isn't really an issue if you're buying from there.
100 Verbatim DVD-Rs for £20.99 delivered:

EVERY datawrite set of discs ive bought off ebay (And thats probably at LEAST 10 different sellers) have been absolutely fine
So have the TDK and the Philips:idea:0 -

Well you've been very lucky. But that's where most of the knock off disks end up.
I'm not saying there aren't any honest traders on eBay, but buying from a reputable retailer is the only way to guarantee you're getting a genuine product. Caveat emptor and all that.0 -
SVP gets my vote too -- been using them for years -- dave0
