Laptop Problems After 2 Months - Comet - My Rights
Comments
-
The woman on the helpdesk at my local comet said that they are well within their rights to try and repair the laptop before replacing it.
She said that the problem was a lose inverter, which means that cable between the screen and the laptop is lose, its easy to fix, can do it yourself as well, it takes around a week when they send it to Acer to fix apparently.
Im a bit confused as of what to do now, I dont actually want a new laptop, all I want is to be able to have this laptop working perfectly fine, becuase I do like it and I was lucky to get something of this spec.
If you think that Im being niave and should take the for everything theyve got and be ready to fight them against the matter then say so and I will.0 -
If you're happy with them sending it off for repair, let them send it off.
You might ask for some form of compensation for all the trouble they're putting you through though.
Also, make sure you get the details of the repair in writing before they send it, including the length of time it will take.0
