I have made a few suggestions which I hope they will include:
To allow non winning haggles as some people go straight in with a really low price which could be a mistake or later go out of stock and if there is only the one haggle there is no second one to fall back to, I won haggles because people have supplied incorrect information and its fallen back to my one.
allow savings of under £20 either for no fee or reduced fee, you have done the work why not let them know. Its frustrating when you can save someone £19 but can't tell them. At the end the shopper would get a message to say, "we were unable to save you £20 however one haggler can save you £19, would you like to purchase this information for the reduced fee of £xx"
Its saving people money thats fun.
Both very good ideas, but on the second one I think they've explained the economies - until they can process transactions for cheaper, it costs them too much (since they only get a 25% cut) to process transactions where the saving is less than £20.
Also, I've seen the same with the cheapest haggle being wrong info, e.g. on the Subaru at the moment Tony's found the car at https://www.allbrandsnew.co.uk but it's an import, so will be disallowed (although it's a UK Company, so I could be wrong...).
Anyway, they're opening a forum themselves next week for us to discuss improvements0 -

That's a very nice way of putting it, keeps it slick. I emailed them to elt them know they shoudl perhaps give the buyer the option as in "What is the minimum you wish to save? 5%, 10% up to 20% that way the buyer knows at least what they'll get in return.0 -

The idea was the shopper gets charged less, the haggler gets less so that Haggle4me can still take the same fee.
You wont find many things that are not imported these days  (dvd players, tv's, all imports) the rules are it has to be supplied by a UK based supplier.

Thanks for the info on this great new site. I've joined and have found a bargain for someone already. It's a terrific concept for everyone wishing to save money on purchases and those skilled in bargain hunting to gain form their skills.
I think this is a perfect web based company for the MSE philosophy and hope that Martin makes note of it in future newsletters.
Lets hope www.haggle4me.com becomes as popular as the MSE site because it'll make happy faces a plenty.
Cheers, Wilf.Keep smiling!0 -

Wilf, thanks for the kind words and encouragement!
As the founder of haggle4me I of course agree… it would be great if our site was to become as popular as MSE!
I’ve been watching this thread for a while but I have, until now, resisted posting myself because there’s a thin line between informing and spamming! That said, I am keen for MSE users to understand exactly what H4M is about. I believe our two sites share a common goal - to help consumers achieve better value for money – and we should therefore consider ourselves allies in the battle!
There is no doubt that MSE is a superb venue for bargain hunters to gather and share money saving information and tips. However, there are still millions of people out there who are missing out on great deals because they don’t have the time, knowledge or the online confidence of the typical MSE user. If we want these people to join the online money saving party then they need extra help. Providing this help is what H4M is all about.
The purpose of H4M is to give people access to a “let us do it for you” service. We make it quick and easy for shoppers to tell our community of hagglers about pending purchases and invite them to do the bargain hunting legwork for them and provide hand-holding guidance on how and where to make shrewder purchases. Like a lawyer working on a “no win, no fee” basis, hagglers are paid by results. If a haggler finds a saving of £20 or more then the shopper pays a fee equal to 20% of that saving. If a saving of £20 or more cannot be found then there’s nothing to pay. It is a win-win situation.
H4M generates revenue (something all websites need to do unless they have very rich owners – which h4m doesn’t!) by charging hagglers a 25% commission on their earnings. This payment structure means we can operate without the need for annoying adverts that clutter up our site. Having no sponsors is also a way of demonstrating that our loyalties are to our users and the pursuit of the lowest prices wherever they may be.
Within the next week H4M will also be opening up a section on our forum boards (where all information and advice is free) where people can post details of pending purchases under £50. The hope is that this section will grow into a kind of classified “wanted” section. This will make it easy for people looking for similar products to pull their collective knowledge about where and how to source these products cheapest. I think that as postings in this section grow it will result in a lot of people visiting H4M who would also find a visit to MSE of use. I will certainly be encouraging our users to refer these people to MSE and I would like to think that MSE users (now you understand what H4M is about!) will return the compliment!

Hi everyone,
Just to let you know, Steve has asked for permission to answer site users' questions on here and as we welcome companies answering questions as part of their customer service we've said that's fine.
As we can't read every thread and the forum team works on a "report an abuse" system please do report any posts in the usual way if you feel they're closer to advertising than customer service and they'll be looked at.
ThanksCould you do with a Money Makeover?
