  • I just updated the sig with my new balance and I make you £1030.02 ahead of me, which I can improve on. My student loan comes in soon so I have to work out exactly how I am going to calculate the debt with that in mind. At the moment I am thinking of putting exactly how much it all amounts to so I will be in the lead for a bit then the challenge will be to see how much I can not get back into.

Let me know what you think.

  • Another frustrating day with the flat move, no news and I was meant to be picking up keys tomorrow! I have arranged for everything to be ready for tomorrow, friends who are not working coming to help, gf has already put in notice on her flat.

Work have asked for my availability till the end of the year for an on call contract that they have taken on. It's a bit hard to give when my diary changes on a regular basis but I will try. May mean that I have to do my blue light training for response work though which will be fun!

And just to top the lot I got a call from the bone marrow register, they may want me, they're sending some stuff through to my mums address.

Time for lunch, it's exhausting and it's my day off!

  • I should get keys tomorrow - it's a little exciting but I still can't help but worry that something will go wrong.

I tried to contact the parking permit office who were less than helpful, they didn't know where I was talking about, and refused to talk to me about the issue of coming in with not having everything registered for that address yet as I only move in tomorrow. The permit itself will cost £99.30 for the year!!!!!!!!! unfortunately I need the car for work so I have to cry and pay.

On the work front, they have accepted that I really do not want to work every weekend, so I do not have a regular venue, but I am working every Saturday for the next month. I am happy with that though as it means I am getting a little extra each week and not working too much like I used to. Also they gave me a defibrilator, so they clearly expect me to be there some time!

Been trying to think of all the things I need to get done tomorrow like sort out repair to the front door, meter readings, remember what it's actually like inside and what I need! It's pretty scary stuff!!!

  • ARGH I HATE SOLICITORS!!!!!!!

I now don't get the keys till Friday, what on earth have these people been doing for the last 2 weeks? We were in fact no further forward than we were 2 weeks ago, to the point where I seriously was ready to just walk out on the whole thing! So now Friday I have to get everything done and electricity and water sorted out ready for when I start uni on Monday, except I am working Saturday. These people just don't think about what you actually have a home for, eg living in! How can I sort out everything that needs to be sorted out in a weekend while working? I have yet to break it to the GF who will is now going to be cross with me.

Seriously this whole thing could and should have been completed 2 months ago!!!!

  • At last I should get into the flat tomorrow!

There is so much that just feels up in the air, but not to worry.

I rang up and asked my settlement figure for the car finance, it's actually less than I had thought which is pleasing, so in theory I could BT onto 2 credit cards at 0% until Feb for one and then June for the other which is appealing, however once I put it through the snowball with the 3% fee and then high rates post promotional rate, and I am not going to be able to overpay, I think I am better to leave it as it is and try to continue to bring down the other flexible loan over the year. I am thinking it should be possible to have at least one of the loans cleared by this time next year.

I have lots of bills paid in advance, I am going to try to set aside some cash for christmas (I just send money in cards, it's easier). I have to increase my overdrafts so that I can make more of my debt 0%.

I have to get back into the NSD game.

Things with the GF aren't exactly going great, but then we have been under undue stress.

Justruth - hope your move went well.

When you look at how much you've both paid off it's amazing - well done to you both xx
  • Moved, but no furniture yet, which is fun! Still it gives me chance to decorate a little this weekend without having to cover up big items lol.

Got student loan and everything in but the internet bank is currently undergoing maintainence. Once I am online at the same time as the bank I will update where my debt stands.

I have really enjoyed cutting back at work a bit, I even went roller skating last night, it was free because I worked for the club over the summer, it was a nice workout and I had a good time.

I still love my job and the experience is already having a positive impact on university and OSCEs. We had a history taking exercise the other day and I found it a lot easier than other students because of the practice I have had through work. Will now do a full history on every patient just to get it practiced!

I don't have internet at home yet, but I get it free at uni and when I pop by the roller disco so I am not in a mad rush just yet. Also due to renew mobile phone contract so wondering about packages etc. The GF is quite keen to sort out the phone and internet so will leave her to shop around, I know that she will choose carefully.
