I'm ok ta, bob....finally got the bandages off and had a shower...feel soooo much better now:) hobbling around well, but knee is still size of a football, and off to GP's later for a sick-chit for work....won't be back there 'till after xmas and new year :D:D:D:D:D:D

..so, now I can concentrate on bashing Lowell about my non-existant £21-odd 3 debt they recon I owe

I know i was reading about that.. hope you get a really good response to that..will be watching with interest.
When i had my knee straightened i was in ankle to hip plaster..but i still showered with a plastic bag and a chair..the problem was falling over from laughing so much:rotfl:
Off from work until New year..sounds good to me:D I am surprised the hospital didn't give you a note..

    Hi Linda, York sounded FAB:D
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

  • I was a bit peeved when I did LOADS of food and drink for DSs birthday, and though everyone came, they were all too bloody polite to just get stuck in  I felt like shoving it in their mouths :o

    I'd come :p

I am trying to meal plan for Christmas - including lunches  mainly for DSs sake, to avoid the 'ham-sandwich-again' syndrome

OH does not eat beef. I find this more and more frustrating as time goes on as I get bloody FED UP of chicken! And am scared of cooking pork. Well I say scared - inexperienced. Time to get the slow cooker out?

Pork's easy to cook. Chops/steaks can be done in a pan or in the oven or under the grill. Animal welfare standards mean there is much less likely to be any lurgies in it so you don't have to gook it to death (I wish my Mum would get that message:rolleyes: ). A good start though would be Hungarian Pork or a curry...

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
