the mid season is always crap if its the one in october your referring to? i love the end of season sale. i always ring and complain and they will never let me have a telephone slot
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • I only shop in the sales.. and I've always had an invite x
  • There's no rhyme or reason to it at all.

I had an account with next for 2 years only ever bought one or two things, paid in full every month and always got a VIP invite.

After the last sale I carried a small balance for a couple of months, paid it off in full, had my credit limit increased to-

    £3600

Ordered a laptop and then had my account cancelled and all credit withdrawn :rotfl:

    Bonkers.

They gave u a £3600 limit.. u order a laptop.. and they jst cance your account for no reason?

Thats a bit bonkers.. didnt they give a reason? x
  • The reason?

They'd checked with a credit reference agency- where they would've seen the same 2 defualts that've been on there for 4 years  - so there when I opened the account.

Tightening up all of a sudden maybe. Not particularly bothered although I don't have online access to my account now so have to keep phoning them to see if they've recieved payments.

  • I have shopped online with next for years and never got a VIP slot, phoned them up to ask why and they said it is random but everyone should get at least 1 invite for sale per year:confused:

I always used to get an invite-got a great credit limit, always pay off balance in full. Had a problem with the july sale order, had to complain, then after that didn't get a vip invite for the mid season sale, so i believe i've been removed from their list. Will have to wait and see.

oohhhh you got me excited then thought bit early for invites, but i saw this and paniked, daughter really needs some trousers and so does my oldest son, only thing is with next i have noticed the quality of some of there stuff just has not been so good the last year, also my daughter is now 6 and is quite tall, i find the younger girls stuff like peppa pig etc she would love but they dont do the older sizes, but the older girls like 3 - whatever it is now is just a bit too old looking for her and not very "cute".

i used to love going to the next sale, but now i rather do it online and cannot be bothered to go to the shops. i live a fair distance from any next and used to go to milton keynes, one tip for milton keynes shoppers, one year we went to the main store and it was packed we then went over to the one near tescos (not as big) but it was a ghost town and really nice no queues or anything.

you have to be a account holder with a next directory, and sign up for email alerts etc. bit hit and miss as to whether you will get an invite though, as no one is sure as to how they work it, there was a brill code system out a while ago when you added a code on the end of the item no but that no longer works, anyone remember the "lady from next" who came on to mse, was it last year or year before and thanked us for all the "tips" for beating the vip system.
