You break the forum rules by advertising your company via your user name, not declaring your interest when you post, and advertising/spamming us with your post!0

Quentin..if you do your homework you'll find that we were given permission to post openly using our name in May 06 by Martin's team. We went through all the right channels to offer open advice (unlike most who don't bother asking permission and pose, usually badly, on here as members of the public). We have permission in writing from MSE.
If you look at his guide notes on the motoring board you'll also see we are one of three brokers he recommends...we've partnered this site for over 2.5 yrs offering people advice and correcting some of the poorer advice given in a few cases to drivers.
I will await your apology once you've checked your facts...which I hope will be delivered with equal speed to your very unnecessary and rather rude post.“Official Company Representative

We can't be expected to "check the facts" for every post that breaks the rules.
You will not have been given permission to post pure adverts for free on the Board without an endorsement from MSE to go in the advertisement. How can you say you are a "partner" of the Board? Do you pay MSE to be allowed advertising posts?
Companies who are allowed to post still are subject to the same Board rules as the rest of us.
You say my post is "rather rude" - in what way?0 -
Quentin, someone asks what the best deals available are on a specific car, we let them know that on that model Uk Ford dealers have an extra £1500 bonus on any stock built prior 31st July and we indicated what that means he should be able to get the car for. That is answering his question. Unless we tell him that he won't know - as many dealers won't offer it upfront. How do you answer 'what the best mondeo deals are' without telling the poster what is available as cash bonuses in December on that model?!
We have answered his simple question and we've been doing that for people since May 06, seemingly in a completely untroubled manner ..until today. When we gained permission in May 06 to answer car pricing questions we were specifically asked by MSE staff who dealt with us to use our name to make it clear who we were, and they would keep an eye out for us.
In 2.5yrs we've never been subjected to a post quite like yours and it does make us wonder whether it worth been worth offering our help, time and advice as you seem keen that people don't get the answers to their questions, unless only answered from someone who isn't in the industry and won't therefore know what bonuses are actually available to drivers on that model. We do know, and can tell you, so do you want the poster to have the answer to help them guage what they should aim at with dealers when out locally trying to get themselves a deal, or not?
Please...come out of the Answer Prevention Dept, and be thankful posters like this chap can get answers about what dealers have available to use as discount - from people like ourselves who bother to give their time and knowledge freely. This man can now go into his dealer with the knowledge that the dealer will have another £1500 tucked away if he has Mondeo stock built prior 31st Jan on most of the Mondeo specifications.
Isn't this what the forum is for? You seem to have a bee under your bonnet about giving this man the answer to his question.“Official Company Representative

Well it looks very much like Ford may soon bite the dust, along with GM, it may pay you to wait.
I would keep the Honda if I were in your shoes anyway, Honda / Ford, no contest.0 -

Your post reads like an out an out advertisement (eg "our Ford dealer partners......").
Using your company posting privileges to advertise is not allowed.
You say your posts have been made "freely". But no-one posts here expecting payment for posting. Don't you get any commercial benefit from having your website associated with your board name?
And I see in another thread elsewhere you got "shirty" with another poster (not an "advertiser") who did pass on info which you had already given earlier in a thread. Wonder why you didn't like seeing that duplication?
Your reference to me being from the "Answer Prevention Dept" seems unnecessarily agressive, and after first accusing me of being "rude", you now ignore my request for you to point out how I was rude to you!
And you ignore my request for clarification of the MSE "partner" status you told us you hold??0 -

You might check http://www.drivingergonomics.com/ for hints & advice.
Also Saab have a good reputation for quality seating. So have a look at their CURRENT range - not the previous generation Cavalier/Vectra based models!!
& also, once you start looking at seats 'with lumber support', you'll find all most provide, are simply pieces of plastic or metal, pushed into your spine. NOT anything more!!
