simple mobile!

I need to buy a mobile having up till now always had a company one. I just need a simple phone for calls and texts (prefer predictive text). The best mobile signal where I live seems to be O2. I think I owuld be happy with a PAYG phone - any suggestions from anyone?

Why don't you simply read what others have posted recently, before asking this question?

 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

Have you tried making sense of all the posts on here????I think I am asking a very simple question which requires a simple (rather than abrupt) answer..

Check out some of the o2 deals available via their "student" link - Nokia 6030 is very good for the money:

Or if you want pure VFM then the Moto C115 is very cheap AND COMES UNLOCKED so you can use any SIMcard you like - the CPW deal tends to come and go on a regular basis so you'll need to keep checking back if it is out of stock when you first look:

Everything that has been offered has already been mentioned recently in this forum!

There is a Search This Forum facility that far too many lazy people just can't be bothered to use! That's what it's there for.

Vodafone do a Simply range for users like the OP.

How long would it have taken them to discover that for themselves!

The OP is new to the site and new posters should alway be made welcome. Your reply of:-

"Why don't you simply read what others have posted recently, before asking this question?"

Was, as far as i'm concerned out of order and a little over the top. Maybe you could have directed them to the search facility instead of posting the above remark in the first place!!

I still believe that advising someone to read posts before asking previously asked questions IS good advice and less blunt than telling them to read this which they should have done before posting anyway!

There is a vast amount of very useful information contained in these forums, which is available to be read and doing this avoids posting duplicate questions.

  • Lets just say that yes, it is good advice to point someone towards the search engine but maybe it could have been done with a little less hostility?

BTW Gizmo, I just want to apologise for beating you to the Nokia 6030 trump card - I know this is a personal favourite of yours. :rotfl:

I'm feeling so guilty, I've decided to share my "thanks" with you ;):p
