I bet that Panasonic was seriously expensive 3 years ago.... the price of DVD's generally is so cheap now the shops will soon be giving them away "Buy the Lord of the Rings 2005 Trilogy special edition part 10 and get a free DVD player....and 42" Plasma screen" ;D

-R's seem fine in the menu's but jumping into scenes is when it start to jump and judder.... known of these problems with +R's though

Anyone tried either Video in or out on the unit?

I have and no matter what I do I cannot get it to work... I have a decent tv and have many times in the past connected uo SVHS or Composite type devices without any problems.

In the case of inputs it looks like the scan rate is wrong...and for outputs the TV doesn't display anything although there is some distortion of the TV's on screen menu. I am adamant there is no problem with the tv setup.

I will call the support number tomorrow but if no luck then player is going back!

Took mine back to the store tonight.... no more available so had to settle for a refund... The warranty guys "Key?" said they would be able to swap it over but I could be bothered messing about to arrange this.

Apparently no other units have ben returned to my local store so maybe I have just been unlucky.... hope so anyway. :-/
