lol, i will but it wont help :)

don't go near the dealer, they will rob you blind. a nice friendly, local bloke is what you want.
They dont all rob you blind, and you've got a better chance of getting it fixed right 1st time at a dealer ;)

My bet would be clutch slave cylinder, not clutch itself as a clutch wouldn't make a quacking sound but fluid in the slave would. Get a 'friendly local' quote, but then say to your dealer "I can get it done for x-amount, can you match it?" We are doing price match where we can, and still use genuine products which will have a nationwide 2yr guarantee, unlike your aftermarket stuff that will have a year's guarantee and then you've got to take it back to the original fitter no matter where in the country you are when it goes wrong...

Dont jump in and assume it needs a new clutch, at that mileage and assuming you don't have a record of killing clutches, I very much doubt it.;) Get the system bled 1st, probable cost of £25 to £30
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

I wouldn't think the clutch would be a problem either at 35000 miles, it may just need greasing where the clutch slave cylinder is pushing the fork to disengage the clutch.

A test for the clutch is to drive at 30mph, put the car in 5th and accelerate reasonably hard, if the revs rise quite quickly with little acceleration then the clutch is slipping. The car should struggle but accelate slowly.
  • My DMF makes a duck like noise. But I'm waiting for the thing to explode before I do anything about it. And yes it's a Mondeo.
