Taxes - yes. comes in at about £90 per person for a return to Florida
Availability - AAdvantage program is not like a lot of other miles programs, all flights have an airmile "price" against them. I looked up Manchester to Orlando and it varied from 30k miles to 50k miles each way. Most of the flights out were 30k (higher on a few weekends) and all flights back were at 30k0 -
So basically you would be able to book flights during August? If the miles are showing up, that presumably means that the flights are available?
Do you know if the miles expire at all because it would most prob take a few years to save up! Also I presume you can book flights for your family if you have the miles not just for yourself?0 -
Here is a an easy, quick and free way to 'earn' 150 miles and keep you AAadvanatge Card miles 'alive' for another 18 months.
listen to the Bose advert , answer the question, fill in your AAdvantage ~ & email address and Bobs Your Uncle. 150 miles come a few weeks later and your miles stay active for another 18 months.0 -

Thanks for that MTC trouble is I can't see the video on my iPad, bloody Steve Jobs and his hypnotic spellsThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

I've come across another very easy (& possibly very MSE) way to keep the miles coming in and the active.
From the American Airlines uk homepage, click on the triangle, next to the Union Jack flag and then from the drop down list change the selected country from United Kingdom, to United States. You now have access to quite a few leisure related things, worldwide. Some are excellant value for money, some less so.
If you are in the market for a night away, click on 'hotel' and tap in your criteria. Have a check of the prices and if they are OK (bear in mind that they are usually PLUS VAT) book it. Currently, every booking attracts 250 AAdvantage miles, so a cheapy place will give you points in the bag, plus, you can assign the miles to anyone you want - which is especially handy if you have someone in your group that has an AAdvantage card, but who does not have an AA Amex card.0
