    Poor you.

Mine passed it's MOT but the brake pads were low. Had them done for £135 for all 4 by my local garage.

The MINI garage want £173 for the front ones, so I will definitely be looking elsewhere and may get all 4 done if the price is right.
    Thanks for the tip.

I've never kept a car until it has needed an MOT (usually change them by then when SAYE shares mature), so this was all new to me.

Incidentally, I'm in the London region so I would expect my labour charges to be more than yours!

Another overpayment today of £200, so that takes us up to £1,000 for the month.
I won't be adding any more this month, since we are clearly over the £500 limit and it seems that £1,000 doesn't apppear to be giving Nationwide cause for concern, as we've had no nasty letters yet.
We've just received the regular monthly ones about the term reduction (each month when the £500 SO hits the mortgage account).

Two nice things happened today. :T
    1. Fridge magnet jigsaw puzzle had another piece added (10 to go)
    2. Daily interest was below a tenner (£9.88) when I checked online.

I'm going to list a few more bits and bobs on eBay tomorrow including my old Palm PDA (which should fetch about £60).
Since I now use my iPod Touch and a few great Apps, it's been gathering dust in a drawer.

My dad has now decided that he doesn't want to sell his car just yet, so I've had to cancel all the viewings for this weekend and next week.
I'm just waiting for him to re-imburse my costs.

My MINI is ready to take her MOT re-test next week.

I love the idea of the jigsaw

I'm going to nick this idea when me and the BF get a house together :j

Just received a phone call inviting me to a Market Research meeting for a catalogue company.
It will take a few hours and I'll get £50 cash on the night for attending. :T

That's the first money towards next month's overpayments.

Scheduled 9 items on eBay to start this evening for 5 days, as I'm meeting friends this evening.

After using several comparison sites, EDF is the front runner at the moment (even without cashback). Cashback would add another £60 to the savings.
I will be making a decision in the next week.

Finally went with EDF for Electricity and NPower for Gas.
Cashback of £45 for NPower and £20 for EDF have already tracked via Quidco.

The Direct Debit for electricity has already gone down by £8.59.

I'm going to add the savings to the standard mortgage payment.

I can't really tell just yet with the gas because we've always just settled the quarterly bill (since moving in 2006), because we had no other option.

My car has finally passed the MOT. :j

The cashbacks for the gas and electricity are now showing as £45 and £30. :j

I sent off the form to Nationwide requesting a reduction in the term of the mortgage today, so it should be in place before next month's payment is due.
I've (if calculated correctly) upped the standard payment by £45.
This is a based on the average remaining in the bill account each month after all bills are paid and potential savings with new energy suppliers.

I received £114 for the items I sold on eBay at the weekend, and I have a few more items to list tomorrow.
I'll wait until I receive feedback before I transfer the money to my current account.

I had a steroid injection in my wrist this morning, and I just about managed to stop myself from screaming when the needle went in. It was throbbing for ages afterwards.

I did some training for a Race For Life 5K event that I am participating in next month. Weather was fine too.
