might be irelevent now with the demise of woolies but if any retailer refuses to pay a refund for faulty merchandise the onus is on the customer to prove it is faulty. i was advised this by trading standards also regarding a mobile phone.
It depends. Within the first 6 months, it is for the seller to prove that the goods conform to the contract. After that, it is for the buyer to prove the opposite.
This however, only relates technically to claims made under part 5A of teh Sale of Goods Act (entitled Additional rights for consumers).
If one goes down the normal route of either recission of the contract (getting a full refund) or seeking damages, then it is the usual case that the buyer must prove the item is not as described or of satisfactory quality.0 -

Woolworths are still trading and bound by the SOGA , tbh if you do go down that route you wont get anything but you have the option.
All phones should have a manufacturer warranty, I would go to them and complain and fight your case.
Although them going out of business does reduce the chances of you finding a manager who gives a monkeys.0 -

i work for woolies and our technical helpline usually gives refunds out to anyone(stupid really) so i dont understand why you couldnt get a refund.
My suggestion, take it to another store and try again, failing that, ring the technical helpline yourself. You can still get refunds for faulty goods in woolworths so thats not a problem.
Hope you get a refundFreebies - Savvy Shopping Bag, Energy Saving Plug, Hugo Boss SampleWinnings - Dvd The Road sold on Ebay for a tenner

Why buy something from a knackered company in the first place...especially something such as a mobile.
As for the above user, I hope if the worst does happen, that you find another job quickly.0 -
