MY GF insists that she has insurance
I explained it's £6.99 down the pain in my opinion. but she insists.
She needs one that covers losss, accidental damage etc.
Are we better looking for an independant ? Or checking with our home insurance ?

I bought a phone from Index catalogue a few years ago and the extended warranty / insurance on it was something silly like a one off payment of £15. The phone i bought off them started to play up last year, not a big fault but i thought i would get it fixed. They sent me a claim form, did not ask for the faulty phone back and after i sent the form back they phoned me up and told me to choose a phone out of their current catalogue as a replacement which i did and it arrived the next day !
For my next PAYG phone i will look at something similar, the extra initial cost of the phone is easily out weighed by the bargain insurance.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
home insurance won't cover airtime abuse, but thats only important if you have a contract phone i guess, As you won't have the possiblility of a huge bill with pay as you go.
I have read on message boards about people who have had their phones stolen, not let the phone company know in time and end up with bills running into the thousands0 -
Some bank accounts give free comprehensive mobile phone insurance as part of having an account with them. Lloydstsb is one of them.I say what I like, I like what I say!0

Thanks I will look into TSB. I think they are also offering £50 for moving. I am off to check
Just checked, and they charge £7 a month.
This £7 cover AA breakdown and mobile insurance.
The cheapest mobile insurance I know of is £6 so that means I get AA cover for an extra £1.
This is a good deal if I was expecting to pay the AA or another company for breakdown cover as the combined would save. In our case with a new car, cover is free for the first 3 years.0
