Well done you! I've found MBNA to be total bar stewards - calling me the day my payment is due and calling several times a day if I'm late. I know they have to keep an eye on things, but they're very aggressive - way more than others. Barclays simply cut off your credit and lower your credit limit, which I think is probably a better way of going forward - certainly more motivational - and possibly works better at them managing debts.

I found mbna very unfriendly too Fabfuture, by the way, hello and welcome too!

They wouldn't reduce the interest rate, so I threw nearly every spare penny at the debt. Was the only way to pay them as little interest as possible.

Would have thrown the bath bombs that I keep accidentally buying at them too, but it seemed such a waste....

Huge congrats on clearing MBNA, they have been horrible to me too!

Definitely would have been a waste of bath bombs! x x

  • Debt is so much easier to manage when one has the minute luxury of pampering with a bath bomb.

Couldn't agree more! I have tried to give them up, but don't seem to be able to. I have a basket in the bathroom that's full of bombs, makes the place smell lovely....
