To remind and reinforce the importance of the RAINY DAY FUND.
Typically, in my life, I never plan for a Rainy Day as I much prefer the sunshine!
So like you, I have mega wake up calls with expenses I have not planned or saved for. YIKES.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010

I've got the money for the annual bills put aside and car maintenance. If I put any more aside there won't be extra to pay off the cards. I'm caught in a vicious circle. I'm hoping that the house repairs can come off the buildings insurace, it'll impact next year's premium, but needs must!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
Total debt today: £0 - debt and mortgage free 29th November 2013 :T

I misread "the house repairs can come off the buildings insurace" as the horse repairs - and wondered what you'd done to poor captain!0

I must apologise for banding you in the same category as moi. Clearly you are much more money savvy than I and for that I salute you!
