Music cassettes to pc help

I've read all the posts on transferring music from tapes to the pc to put on cd's but I'm still stuck
I've got a Pioneer double tape deck, it has 2 holes at the front, 1 for phone & 1 for mic.
I've read that you need a lead that is the same both ends, the trouble is the hole in the front of the deck doesn't match the one on the computer. Is the tape deck too old to do this or have I got to buy a separate kit.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

you need to buy an adapter, I can't remember the size, something like 3.5mm to 10mm.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

you need phono to stereo mini jack
see here http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=31700&doy=9m12&C=SO&U=strat15
Also make sure you connect it to the LINE IN socket on your sound card and not the MIC input as you will only get a mono recording
so you plug the phono end to your line out and the mini jack to your line in on sound card.
dont use the headphone socket as you might blow your sound card0 -
What kind of socket is it though? Usually there are two RCA/phono sockets, red and black, these are the ones to use. If this is the case you would need a phono red/black pair plug to 3.5mm stereo plug on the other end to plug into the line in socket on the computer.
If it is an old deck, the phones out is probably a quarter inch jack socket. To use this (not ideal since the output circuitry may not be good quality) you need a 1/4" stereo jack plug to 3.5mm stereo jack plug lead.
You also need recording software, the free audacity or audiograbber do the job nicely.Out on blue six..

I've got the first one which can plug into either holes at at the front of the tape deck, it's got a hole at the other end but I don't know what I should put in it!!0

This is what I've got at the back of the tape deck.

I think the Dat/video is the one to use. Am I right0 -

Sorry I've also got the one that's in the other picture. This has a black end & a red one, at the other end is the jack that can go into my sound card.
If this is the one can you let me know as I'm not sure what socket it goes into in my computer.
Sorry to be so stupid but I'm just at a loss to know where things go !0
