  • It is simply the mechanism that supermarkets can use to make it look like consumers are getting a good bargain. They can now practically get away with whatever they want to in terms of pricing so long as they are not daft about it.

If it isnt Chocolate....what is it?

Officially it's 'vegelate' because the Cadbury's recipe uses vegetable fat. 'Real' chocolate (like you get in Belgium or Switzerland) uses cocoa butter. Or something like that.

Oh, and it's not Cadbury's any more, either. Seriously - they dropped the apostrophe s a few years ago (so they're now 'Cadbury Creme Eggs').

last night, me and OH went into the same Asda and the same chocolate is now £3.36!!!

I honestly don't understand this rant. You bought something at an ok price and now the price is higher so you object and don't buy it. The End.

No need for a rant. If some people want to pay too much money for a product that should be cheaper then it's up to them. Getting annoyed by something so trivial is just pointless. I just laugh when I see over-priced stuff in the supermarket. I don't buy it, and I don't bother to contact their customer services about it - the company already knows it's over-priced - they are just hoping that some suckers will buy it (and they usually do).

I have no desire to be the shopping police for idiots.

JoolzS. The OP is probably female and requires a daily intake of chocolate. How could you stop her ranting.

I cannot get a word in edgeways when Freda has her daily fix.
