should i put £5000 saving into my morgage or invest?

ive been saving up for a while and curious to see what anyones opion should i put it down on my house or invest it for a few years?

If you have a repayment mortgage, bear in mind that if you put capital into it it will be very difficult to get out again if you need it. You can get close to mortgage rates from savings accounts, and you can often beat them with other investments, and although there is often an emotional desire to get shot of a mortgage there may be better options.0
