But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today I will:
- check online banking
- update spreadsheets
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- add some coins to sealed pot
- swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- storecupbord meals
- chicken casserole in slowcooker
- no spend day
- make some flapjacks in remoska
- try and not use car
Catch up with you later:D

Morning.
Lovely and sunny here in Sheffield... just a shame that isn't reflected in my bank balance.
I've got an interest-free overdraft by virtue of being a graduate but I hate using it. It also means that people aren't as quick at paying me back than they perhaps would be if I didn't have it. I get paid a week on Friday but I really want to get back to a zero balance before then so I'm going to go all out calling my loans in and banking loads of cash. I hate to be a nag... but it's my money that could be in my savings
Anyway, after that little moan, the list:- Checked interweb banking. Need to sort ISA out as I've received my certificate from the lovely financial compensation bods and also managed to lock my online access to the account up by forgetting the password

- Checked for surveys. Will do throughout the day.
- Withdrawn paypal money from Lightspeed rewards.
- Checked Quidco. Looks like quite a bit will come into my account in February/March time.
- Storecupboard breakfast and lunch not sure about tea as out at a match.
- Remember to print hotel confirmation off for weekend away.
- Try my bargain dress on which should be at home by the time I am... hopefully it will fit.
- Have a LSD (low spend day... I don't think tripping on acid will really help my mood! :rotfl:)
Hope everyone else is chipper... 8 more get-ups!0 - Checked interweb banking. Need to sort ISA out as I've received my certificate from the lovely financial compensation bods and also managed to lock my online access to the account up by forgetting the password

Morning everyone!
I have black socks with white swirls on.
I had a bit of a rough shift at Sams last night. It is the first time I have had "good calls". But that only make it all seem difficult. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm just too soft for Samaritans.
But in positive news. at 5.50am this morning one of my good friends had a baby boy!!
today I have/will
- finish the internet part of my shopping
- read my book
- early night
- tidy kitchen
- store cupboard meals
- check online banking
- update MSE diary (I really need to stop trying to be funny in it. I don't think I can pull it off...)
Thats all from me.
KTjazz:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!
I'm back, and this time I mean business!
If you need to talk to someone confidentially call Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 or email jo@samaritans.org
My heart knows me better than I know myself so I'm going to let it do all the talking.0
