New 'Mega Shopbot' Tool: Please give us your feedback

Yep all the windows popping up plus their advertising pop ups absolutely freaked me out as I was expecting it all in one window.
I didn't know the author of my book I searched for and I doubt most people would, and all of the 'searches' came up blank ' no results'
windows xp, IE ver 60 -
it's certainly a useful tool thanks Dan you've done a fantastic job of it specially that you included bookbrain which I think is the best and not many search enjines seem to include it and I liked your idea of taking us to the original page rather than a search on MSE page because it makes it a lot easier to access the site you've chosen to shop and also to do more searches
I had only one blank page pop up and it said about: blank so I was initially unable to identify which one came up as blank, reason being when I return to the shop bot MSE page it would have ended my search and reverted to the original start page if I'm making sense?
I did a DVD search for hairspray and got the following results
http://uk.shopping.com/xDN-dvds_and_blurays-hairspray
http://films.kelkoo.co.uk/drilldown~149201/DVD?keyword1=hairspray
http://www.media-pricer.co.uk/search.php?type=AllFilms&term=hairspray&Search=Search
about:blank
so I went and brought up the DVD search list and I'm guessing it is pricerunner that's playing up?
yes amazon should definitely be included in the search - books are expensive and amazon must be the first stop of search for books for many I should've thought
as for the general feedback it is so simple straightforward and userfriendly but some sites where you divert us might have pop ups which might be annoying but so far for the ones you've included for my DVD search I didn't have any popups
thanks it's brilliant - I also liked your idea of adding on codes and voucher links alongside
if it's ok to say solavender doesn't appeal to me though

I got a blank window from find a book with a result for the other three. I am using firefox on mac os.0

I got a couple of blank windows as well.
Re the person that commented on opening up different search results in different tabs - surely this only works in FF and IE7?
Like the idea of Amazon and Play.com searches as well.
Wanted to ask - can you include BillyBargain.co.uk in the search options?Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -
I'll reiteriate what has been said above about opening in new tabs instead of new windows in Firefox, but that's a 'would be nice' not a 'must'. I tried Dig Out Your Soul by Oasis and it worked very well, some of the sites don't work great, but that's their fault. The windows open quite small for me (and I'm stuck with a 1024*800 screen in work) but maybe that's needed too.
One thing I will suggest is an alteration to the Firefox Pop-Up instructions. The first time I tried it, it said my browser was blocking. No problem, Firefox said at the top what it had done, I said allow MSE. Back. Tried again, same thing. Then followed the instrictions to not block anything. Again, blocked. You need to add to the instructions to refresh the page I think. Once I did this it worked.

Is there no way to open a single new window and then open each search engine in a new tab?
It's scriptable, so your guys should be able to write it in. Yes/no?
Two problems with this
1. Not every browser supports tabs
2. Sadly not eveyrone is web savvy and would realise they need to click lots of different tabs to see the search. This way its very visible.Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.
