So the technika doesnt have inbuilt freeview? Have you tried plugging the sagem in another scart socket? Have you tried another feed (dvd player say)?
Are you sure the scarts seated correctly? And that its definitely on the correct AV setting?

    Hi

Although... bought another Technica from Tesco, this time it has built in freeview, and the screen keeps regularly freezing and sort of getting pixellated - it's less than a month old so not boding too well...

Almost certainly a weak signal, better aerial required.;)

  • if the tv has expired its 12 month warranty you can still ring tesco techincal helpline and just tell them whats wrong and they will issue you with a over the 12 month warranty form, send it back to them and they will assess to see if it is a genuine manufactoring fault if it is found to be a genuine manufactoring fault they will will send you out a cheque for the amount you paid for the tv, providing you have proof of purchase, and the tv is not damaged due to misuse, accidental damage e.c.t,
if you need to know anything else by all means feel free to email me as i work for the technical helpline :-)
