you will get a better response from local businesses but you could also contact companies online getting mini products as favours such as chocolate champagne.
When contacting companies for free stuff its best to be open and not have anything in mind about what you would like to recieve.
When you can offer something in return ie put your wedding in the local paper and mention the companies you will get a better response.
I have also found that making each email letter etc personal to the company is much better than a generic one even though it takes longer.
Also companies like to know it is for charity so it could be an idea to contact the charity in question to tell them your plans and get a letter or email fax etc off them so you can attach a copy.

    THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX...
Don't just contact companies that everyone would contact ones you wouldnt think of straight away. Dont be affraid to contact the long shots you may be surprised holidays etc... even if you get a discount thats money saved and also money for the charity.

The place you get married is a good one to get free or cheap especially if they get good press, and guests book a room etc...

Dont just contact traditional wedding companies for dresses accessories etc

    hope this helps

On their other thread they are, this one is a link to a charity. If people post what they want where they want then the website looses its ease of use.

Like op said she is new and even pple who have been around a while make mistakes lighten up and try to be a bit nicer!! :D

i fail to see why saying this isnt in the right place is being "nasty" or "horrid".

The OP has another thread running on the same forum which asks for the same thing but doesnt have the link to charity.

maybe you could tell me your understanding of this forum?

I think others have adequately said what I would have.
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.

How about trying the hot uk deals site? http://www.hotukdeals.com
Good luck (do hope that this is genuine - how sad it is that we all feel a touch of wariness about such things now....:embarasse )

What that it is a freebie?
so why have a duplicate thread, the OP has the same request running a few threads down.
Or should i Change my original post to: Why have you posted the same request or will that upset people too?
  • I have reported this thread for removal... ;)

this really isnt the place for this thread: If you read what this forum is about, its very self explanatory.

this is a terrible response to a very good cause, what a lovely gesture:beer:
