Take a stick of ram out or take PC into shop and ask.. as our PM's ;)
and then once you know buy somewhere else....
  • If you want to find out what memory you need, go here and download CPUz, which is a freeware utility that gathers information from your computer about your components and can display them in an easy-to-read format. It's fantastic for finding out about your PC's components and it will tell you what type of RAM you currently have, whether it's ECC or not, and what speed it runs at. Remember that if you buy new RAM which is faster than your current memory, putting them both into your machine will cause the new, faster RAM to run at the same speed as the old RAM.

CPUz will also get information for you on your motherboard, which is important when selecting RAM. If you have and older motherboard, it probably won't support the (error checking) RAM which is very common these days.

Download CPUz, try it out and it should let you know exactly what you need.

    Hope this helps!

try ebuyer.co.uk there cheaper than most and very quick ! if you cant find out what ram you have do go to the crucial web site they have a check list for pcs and motherboards best to get it know never been so cheap!
If thats still difficult just google your make and model that should tell you what you need
  • eBuyer was mentioned on the previous page - it's best to steer clear of them as they have built up a reputation for sending out dodgy components and dragging their heels over refunds.
