PUC Code - didnt transfer it and still getting billed for old account

Hi,

I have recently set up a new phone account with Vodafone. New number everything - happy.

But when I cancelled my contract with O2 i wanted the puc code so i could keep my number on my new phone. They gave it to me but when it came to transfering it to vodafone my contract had already started and was more hassle than it was worth to transfer the code.

Then, couple months later realised O2 are still taking money out of my account for the previous contract.

I rang them and they said because the code was never transfered that meant I still had the account open. They have so far charged me an additional sixty pounds for a phone i havent even touched in months

Does anyone know my rights...if any...to get the money back?

Rob

If you don't use the pac then your contract doesn't end. How were O2 supposed to know you didn't want to stay with them ?
Once you've got your pa, to end a contract you have use it within 30 days...
  • you'll need to start over either way & provide 30days notice

    your options are:

    a) request a PAC and use it
    b) request a cancellation.

You have no right to request a refund, but ask them and they might be generous.
