Hi all..hope you are all ok.Today was our day off and we've spent a fortune!!!....
We did the shopping as our son had given us £100 for his meals for the month so bought loads of meat for the month and a couple of other bits...came to £89 so that was neutral....so far so good...
As most of you knowI suffer from osteo-arthritis and have great dificulty sleeping...I have an orthopaedic mattress on our bed but as soon as I've been in bed a few hours I can't move as I'm in agony.
So we wanted to try one of those memory foam mattresses ...we were in B+Ms today nad they had King Size ones for £169.99 and memory foam pillows at 2 for £14.99 so we bought those and a couple of KS fitted sheets at £4.99 each.I had to use part of my O/D for them but thought that if I can at least get some sound sleep(hopefully) then that money will have been well spent.DH wanted to try one of those Tempur mattresses but they are £2k!!!...we have put the memory foam mattress on top of our other mattress so it is now 18 inches deep lol....
So I sort of feel guilty spending that but if I get more sleep I'll be more productiveso here's hoping.
Not a lot else to report...

Ooh does this mean the mattress topper has worked? I do hope so - not being able to sleep is horrible!

Oh and well done and clearing a bit more debt!

Yes I did sleep better...and we need a really good take this weekend as I must've missed stuff on the budget as I'm about £400 out!!!!.....I'm quite a way into my o/d and if we don't clear that we'll not have enough to cover the bills on the 1st ...I've asked for an increase on the o/d but they said they'll let me know by post..so we'll see.
The dogs are back on antibiotics again....as they are still not over that tummy bug they had.

We definitely do better when it rains. It's been very cold and windy here this week.

Hi Whatatwit....I don't think it will be dead busy as a lot of people don't get paid until tues/weds....which defeats the object for me.I think I may change the dates of some of my DDs and spread them out over the month...ooh I'll have to think what to do.

Evening Taxi - just catching up with everyone!

Dont feel guilty about spending money especially when it is something to help your sleep which I know is something you have trouble with - ultimately it will pay for itself anyway if it means you can work easier without so many aches and pains.

Sorry to hear the dogs are still not right, hope they feel better soon.

I am hoping this lousy weather keeps up for a little bit longer to help with OHs work!
