Thanks all ...I'm feeling a lot better.DS has just gone home armed with jacket potato, chilli and salad for lunch tomorrow.
He was wanting to go on holiday to Tenerife or somewhere on his own as he didn't have anyone to go with.I don't think it's a good idea because of his illness and his lack of knowing his way around (he has great difficulty getting from A-B here)..he has to familiarise himself with a exact route or else he gets lost and panics.
He said next time we are going to Cuba could he come so I need to get hold of the travel agent on monday as they are shut now to see if I can add him onto our booking. He'll be paying for himself and is really excited!!!!

Hi Taxi, where do you get the dog food from, I use NW Discount, the ones round the back of Asda, don't know if they stock Burns, but they are usually competitive on price.

That's where I buy it from.If it's going to carry on being bitty I will buy the james beloved one...I bought some of that the other day at pets world or whatever it's called.
NW Discount sell that as well. They are both the same price about £40.The dogs cost more than we do to feed...lol

have a nice meal LT and happy anniversary..have you been married 2 years already?
The fire is Yates Wine Lodge at talbot square and by all accounts it's absolutely gutted!!!!!...It started at 3am this morning and it was that bad the firefighters couldn't go in and had to smash the windows from outside to get the fire under control...not sure what time they managed that think it was about lunch time and nearly every road in the town centre was shut. When I went out to work this morning I thought it was fog at first and I couldn't see much. They are probably still there damping down and there is danger that a wall will collapse into the street.
My washing machine has decided to play up!!!!....I went to get washing out before and the programme said finished but the door wouldn't open...so I put it on a quick wash to see if that would do it...NO...so unplugged it for 10 mins..plugged it back in and it opened but had soapy water in it..so have switched in on again and it sounds like it's not pumping water out!!!!....so can't rinse etc...
I let the insurance lapse on it..as the machine is about 7 years old....my dilemma is this now...
(1( do I have it fixed ..is it worth it?
or(2)Or do I buy a new one?....if I do I will have to buy a new dryer as I have such a small kitchen the washer and dryer have to be able to stack on top of each other as there is nowhere else to put the dryer so both have to be the same make with a stacking kit!!!!!
  • I managed to salvage my old washing machine loads of times before having to give in and replace. Try draining it first by pulling out and putting hose lower than machine. If there is a blockage that may help clean it out. If you are going to get it fixed ring around local little firms, it may be a brushes problem not going into spin, they wear down quickly. If DH is handy he can buy a kit for under a fiver and replace them himself...you can google instructions if necessary.

Sounds awful about the town centre.
