Hi all...well managed to get up for work this morningbut have only worked the morning as I needed to come back home to wake DH for his appointment.Yes ..it's for the accident with the lady that walked out in front of him.Nothing is happening about that at the moment really.DH just has to do a statement for the police and then they will be sending him on a driver awareness course.Don't know whether she'ssueing or not as haven't heard anything yet!!!...If she does she does nothing I can do about it.
Done the banking, filled and washed the car so that's that part done.Phoned the DG company for a quote and am waiting for somebody to get back in touch with me.Noticed a couple of scratches and a small dent on the roof of the car so it looks like the stones have also landed there!!!!....haven't heard back from the police about that yet.
Nothing else happening except washing and more washing.
Still waiting for the money I sent from DHs account (halifax ) to mine .I sent it thursday but it didn't go until friday as it was too much for FP (I guess)..it said it takes 3/4 days so guess they are banking days ..so may see it by weds/thurs ...who knows!!!...very antiquated system....
  • At least you are on top of it all Taxi. Hope everything goes ok for DH.

Thanks BOB...it'll be fine for DH.It's just dotting the i's and crossing the t's so to speak. The police officer was really nice about it all and said that it'snothing to worry about when he phoned the other day.DH has gone to do his statement now..will probably be back by 2.30pm .

It's not what you need though Taxi (nor does Mr Taxi!), I hope everything goes fine and it is just a formality (I can't understand why Mr Taxi has to go on a Driver Awareness course though if he has done nothing wrong )

Hi Dragon...the course is because he hit a pedestrian.Anyone invoved in knocking someone over has to go on one regardless of the facts. He isn't getting points or anything like that as she admitted to the police that she stepped out.The course costs about £90 as well perhaps they are trying to make money as well.

Ah right - I did wonder but if it is just the Government being their usual money grabbing selves then that makes sense!

  • I never knew that. Mr.B had to go on one once for speeding and avoided the points his mate did too ( which was well overdue as his wifey usually took points for him:mad: )

When DH got back he said the officer was sending the file off and we will have to await whether they are going to do anything. So I don't know what's going on.
Had the bloke from the window company around and the unit will cost me £94 inc vat fitted!!!!...a bill I could do without. So that's ordered and they will phone when it arrives.
